Trump's wall that wasn't is metaphor for his presidency.


That the one thing on which his candidacy was based was an empty boast, based on a con should come as no surprise.

The direct line from an impossible promise of making Mexico pay for a wall to a government in paralysis for taxpayer funding of the wall could not be any straighter or clearer.

Yet, the economic pain being forced on countless Americans, all in the cause of Trump's Folly is not enough to sway a bunch of kids in MAGA caps blissfully chanting "build that wall".
